AmerenUE and Charah, Inc. Receive Joint Award from U.S. Environmental Protection Agency

At the American Coal Ash Association’s 40th Anniversary Membership meeting July 2, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) presented AmerenUE and Charah a special recognition award for the partnership the two companies created which allows tons of ash from AmerenUE’s Labadie Plant to be used in the manufacturing of concrete. Each year the Charah Plant, located adjacent to Labadie, produces approximately 2 million bags of concrete.
