The Muny, which has offered musical theatre in an outdoor setting in Forest Park since 1919, kicked off its 90th season by recognizing AmerenUE as its longest-running corporate sponsor. AmerenUE has given to the Muny every year since 1920, or 88 years.
Muny CEO Denny Reagan offered kudos to AmerenUE CEOs past and present—from the now deceased Wes McAfee and Charlie Dougherty to current Muny board members, retired CEOs Bill Cornelius and Chuck Mueller. All four were involved in helping the Muny survive nine decades. Reagan presented current AmerenUE CEO Tom Voss with an award honoring UE as its longest-running corporate sponsor.
