AmerenUE Proposed Energy Efficiency Programs for Residential Customers
At AmerenUE, we have committed to providing our customers with clean, reliable energy, while helping them use energy efficiently—thus protecting and improving the environment and keeping costs down. Key to ensuring adequate future energy supply is our commitment to aggressively pursue energy efficiency programs that empower our customers to manage their energy costs.    A wide range of programs are planned for release as described below.
Residential Customer Initiatives
	An ENERGY STAR® Homes program will increase awareness of, and demand for, these very energy efficient homes, while encouraging developers to build them.
	Residential Low-Income Programs will help low-income customers realize energy savings and lower bills through the installation of a variety of cost-effective, energy-efficient lighting and other building improvements.
	Through the installation of a Smart Thermostat, the Direct Load Control Program customer participants can reduce energy use by having their central air conditioning units cycle on and off depending upon the demand for electricity on the system.
	The Residential New HVAC Program will promote the proper sizing and installation of new central air conditioning units.
	An HVAC “Diagnostics and Tune-Up” Program will help customers save energy and reduce system demand through improvement of the operating performance of residential central air conditioning units.
	The Residential Lighting and Appliances Program will increase awareness and use of energy-efficient ENERGY STAR®-qualified appliances and lighting products.
	A multi-family home program will provide direct installation of efficiency measures for saving energy in tenant spaces.
	Through a Critical Peak Pricing and Smart Thermostat Program, a new thermostat will alert a customer when rates are highest and allow voluntary changes to reduce demand and lower bills.
	Home Energy Performance will offer a range of specific energy and cost-saving measures including a comprehensive home energy assessment that evaluates whole-house energy efficiency and recommends best-practice improvements.
